It began with a meticulous studio production of Survival. The musical expression and character of the work brought together these fantastic musicians of different backgrounds, who worked for more than two years to present a live version of Survival and create new material from Sevdah Linke for the live recording in Berlin's Tempodrom.

SEVDAH BY REUF SIPOVIC
In the second part of the stage concept of “Survival”, Reuf Sipović presents SEVDAH Traditional Bosnian Music newly composed and arranged in his very own style.
" What could I possibly present that would be better than that which already flows in my blood: “Sevdah” traditional Bosnian music."
"Naturally it would have been more difficult, if the album “Survival,” with its character and musical personality, had not already brought together these fantastic musicians, who all worked together in the months before the live premier of Survival to try out my ideas and arrangements as well as their own input and bring the Sevdah pieces to life, as I experience them myself."

Time and Sevdah
The creator of a "Sevdalinka" is always an individualist. To be passed on from person to person, adapted to time and space, the bosnian people themselves are forming the "Sevdalinka".
Oriental Melodies and harmonies of the occident brought the bosnian soul the specific feeling, which brought forth the bosnian sound of "Sevdalinka" - the unique sound of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"Sevdalinka" describes several facets of our existence, very often more faithfully than the written word. Naturally there are extenuations, because by euphemizing reality, one seeks for the joy of the soul and thereby spreads some kindness around.
"Sevdalinka" describes all the good and bad experiences of life, it characterizes bosnian culture.
