Hans Hartmann – He is the only representative for this instrument in Berlin – at least in the Jazz scene. He has been playing the ’stick’ for the past 40 years, and the bass since 60 years. He has been the contra bass player in many different bands of American musicians during their Europe tour, amongst others Chet Baker, Philly Joe Jones and even Attila Zoller.
