Reuf Sipović is a Berlin‑based musician, guitarist, composer, and producer who creates acoustic soundscapes shaped by Cinematic Guitar, World‑Fusion elements, and modern sevdah influences. His music blends warm guitar tones, atmospheric textures, and emotional depth into a signature style that feels both intimate and cinematic. Moving between acoustic, western, classical, and electric guitars, he has developed a personal sound language rooted in storytelling, clarity, and cultural identity.
He began playing guitar at the age of five and grew into a self‑taught musician shaped by rock, sevdah, blues, classical, flamenco and the instinctive desire to translate emotion into sound. After relocating to Germany at seventeen, he founded Lava Sound Productions in 2005, establishing the creative base for his independent work. Reuf composes, arranges, records, mixes, and masters his music himself — a hands‑on approach that gives each project a cohesive, handcrafted identity defined by warmth, precision, and cinematic atmosphere.
Reuf’s artistic journey began with his debut single “River Lim”, a cinematic guitar piece inspired by the river that shaped his early life and emotional landscape. With its warm acoustic tone, flowing melodic lines and atmospheric calm, the track introduced many of the elements that would later define his signature style — acoustic authenticity, narrative guitar work and a deep sense of place. “River Lim” became the foundation for the sound world that Reuf would continue to develop in Survival, Sevdah Reloaded and Sevdah | Unplugged.
His album “Survival” marks a milestone in his artistic journey. Best described as Instrumental Cinematic Progressive Guitar Fusion, the work moves between Progressive Rock, ambient atmospheres, world‑music colors, and classical film‑inspired guitar artistry. Each track unfolds like a chapter in a personal journey, exploring themes of memory, resilience, and inner calm. Performed live with an ensemble of exceptional musicians, Survival Live presented this music as a modern symphonic landscape built on expressive electric‑guitar textures and flowing rhythmic structures.
From this stage concept emerged “Sevdah Reloaded” — Reuf’s contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Bosnian Sevdah. Here he presents Sevdah newly composed and arranged in his own style, shaped by acoustic, western, and classical guitars, subtle rhythmic movement, and cinematic depth.
As Reuf describes it: “What could I possibly present that would be better than that which already flows in my blood: Sevdah. And it would have been impossible without these fantastic musicians who worked with me for months, exploring ideas, shaping arrangements, and bringing the pieces to life as I experience them myself.”
Sevdah Reloaded Live was brought to life by an exceptional ensemble whose musical personalities shaped the final sound.
Together, they created a modern, atmospheric interpretation of Sevdah that balances tradition with contemporary acoustic expression.
Reuf later distilled this concept into Sevdah | Unplugged, an intimate trio format with vocalist Željka Antelj and percussionist Adam Weisman. This version highlights the emotional core of Sevdah through close‑up acoustic interplay and minimalist arrangements, presenting the music in its most transparent and narrative form.
Across all his projects, Reuf’s work resonates with listeners who appreciate acoustic authenticity, quiet cinematic moods, and contemporary world‑music with a progressive edge. His sound is defined by clarity, emotional storytelling, and a modern guitar language that bridges tradition and contemporary expression — a musical world where atmosphere, identity, and narrative emotion come together.
